SEDUCTION takes on all the gray areas of its subject—the messiness, the tenderness, the playfulness, the sexiness. Issue 2 reflects evolving societal values, and our cultural relationship to female sensuality. The work of the diverse, talented artists featured in this issue rescues seduction from misogynistic tropes, and dismantles old-fashioned definitions. This issue makes a powerful case for seduction as an uninhibited, creative exploration of attraction and sensuality, and how that ultimately leads to self-discovery, self-love, and self-understanding. Some of the artists featured include Marilyn Minter, Maisie Cousins, Juno Calypso, Carljin Jacobs, Michelle Du Xuan, Marie Schuller, Afrosexology, Alewya Demmisse, Devyn Galindo, Lauren Wasser, Nabihah Iqbal and Kristen Liu-Wong. This issue supports the mental health nonprofit Crisis Text Line.
