THE POWER OF THE FEMME is a celebration of all types of women, and the full spectrum of womanhood. It is definitive of our mission: to challenge and redefine women’s publishing; and to build a community that reflects the diversity and power of global femininity. For our first issue, we asked our contributors to interpret what THE POWER OF THE FEMME meant to them, because female empowerment isn’t just a marketing gimmick on a t-shirt—it’s a point that has become impossible to ignore. Issue 0 features artists such as Nadine Ijewere, Claude Cahun, Lula Hyers, Lily Inge Newmark, Piera Gelardi (co-founder of Refinery 29), Alma Har'el (TriBeCa film festival award winner and founder of Free the Bid), Winnie Harlow, Andrea Gentl, Zackary Drucker, Kate Ballis, Beth Hoeckel, Lucy Sweetchurch, Harry Charlesworth and Sussi, Prue Stent and Honey Long. This issue supports Planned Parenthood.
